M&S SECURITY - Call/Text 661-201-9364
Our Neighborhood is currently patrolled by M&S Security thanks to the efforts of several residents (most notably Mike Valpredo), and the generous donations of several families. We have them slated to work here over the next few months, as we will assess this service together at the next meeting.
We are seeking more donations to fund the security service. For details please read the letter below:
Hello Neighbors,
I wanted to update everyone on funding for private security. It has been a good experience. We started this as a group that thought we needed security patrols now and just started matching each other at $5,000 to get something done. We chose that number because it would accomplish something quickly and would cost substantially less than doing something ourselves. It is exciting for anyone to contribute, any amount. Only something broader based can succeed, long-term.
I was motivated by Kathy Palla’s explanation of how 3 months of security can break down the habits of groups of criminals working our neighborhood and Mr. Pandol’s comment that while he likes the camera he has in front of his home, some form of patrol that engages people is effective.
We accomplished finding nine families that would pay for a 16-hour a day, 7-day a week patrol for 3 months, in a day and a half. I am taking additional contributions now from more families. I am doing that with the hope to have things get established longer term, at 8 hours a day service. We have had 8 families call to match what the original 9 families contributed, in one form or another. With that in mind, today I am filling month number 7. Our cost for 16-hours of patrols a day is $15,240 a month and our cost for an 8-hour day month is 7,800, plus taxes.
If we have 75 families contributing $100 a month, with what we have now, we will have 8 hours of service a day, out to a year and a half. If we have 100 families contributing $100 a month, we will have this service forever. This seems like a big task to get going and was part of my urgency to get something else started now but it is our answer together. No one that I have taken funds from is looking too contribute as they have repeatedly. They just wanted to see something get going. Mike Valpredo will be sending something out soon on how to contribute monthly. This is not a home-owners association, these are volunteer contributions to help each other.

Have to share. I got pulled over by security guard. I was on the phone with a friend who is driving to Vegas. I thought I would check out the neighborhood, look at new turf being installed at Underhill’s etc. He pulled me over. I thanked him. He’s really doing his job!! It’s great. He told me he recovered a stolen package today too and returned it to the owner. Looks like this may work out for now. Thank you.
